Who we are & what we do
Glenfield Parish Council came into existence in 1895. The Parish Council's offices are at Park House, Stamford Street, Glenfield, Leicester
The Parish Council's responsibilities include parks and open spaces, sports facilities, public halls, and allotments. Significant funding was granted from the Football Foundation in 2012 enabling the Parish Council to completely rebuild their Sports Pavilion in Gynsill Lane. As well as children's play equipment at Ellis Park the Council also provides adult gym equipment at the Millennium Green.
Meetings of the Parish Council are held every month at Park House. The Annual Parish Meeting and the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council are held on the second Tuesday at Glenfield Sports Pavilion and Third Monday in May respectively at Park House.
